Description of the project

The level of investment in continuous professional development of teachers and trainers indicates its importance in the context of national and international educational policies. There are many courses for teachers or teacher trainers who deal with young students, but still there is a lack of courses and methodical material which provide curriculum for teachers who work with adults.

Many teachers feel of that to learn about technology and use integrate it into their teaching is still very difficult, however more and more of them use on-line to materials teaching strategies. The necessity to connect and communicate, master exchange experience and best practice with the teachers from all over Europe has become of critical importance. To deal with this problem implemented national and international priorities needs' analysies in partners countries should be continued to assess number of teachers and level of their knowledge, as well as skills they need to modernize for their teaching processes also research in order to choose the most useful and suitable ICT tool for improving the availability and quality of European courses for adult educators.

Project seeks to create an international teacher training methodology which will be based on the best European practice and achievements, as well as create face-to-face training courses and as the project proceeding also distance learning and it will be the first step in growth not just in technological knowledge but also in teacher’s pedagogical capacity in their specific subject areas; to create online multilingual resources for teachers and learners; to design a cascade approach to implementation for the methodology in order to ensure the benefits reach a wider number of adult teachers and teacher trainers through future courses. Create a network made by all actors involved in order to ensure viability of project results. Expand the network in order to achieve as more EU countries as possible.

Cascade methodology, with teachers being trained initially so that they can then train others, is based on a philosophy that sees adoption and uptake of the products developed as a vital part of the project work. Once the initial development of the methodology has taken place, a valorization plan, appropriate to the approach will be developed. This will include, above and beyond conventional dissemination, actions that promote uptake by the third parties of the methodology. This will involve actions to promote the project results to public and private bodies in each partner region initially and then beyond. Actions will be taken to ensure that this goes beyond publicity to seminars and workshops that promote uptake at local level, always aiming at the cascade methodology. The possibility of exploiting the methodology as a consultancy service to public and private bodies will be explored.
